Mark Monday, the 3rd of October on your calendar! The long awaited Moreton Bay Rail Link is due to open in spectacular fashion with a Community Day to commemorate!
The Department of Transport and Main Roads in conjunction with Australian Government, Queensland Government and Moreton Bay Regional Council are giving local residents the opportunity to be amongst the first people to ever ride the first train!
Click here to enter the ballot for a chance to be on the very first train on the Redcliffe Peninsula Line, which leaves at 8:45 am from the Kippa-Ring station.
Registration for the ballot will close 11:59 / Midnight Friday 23 September 2016
If you are successful for the ballot you will be advised via email on Tuesday 27 September.
Seats on the first train are limited. To ensure you still get the chance to ride a train on the open day, we encourage you to also register to ride a free shuttle train service that will run throughout the day from 10am to 3pm. Register here.
The shuttle train will run between Kippa-Ring station and Petrie station, stopping at each station. You can hop on at your chosen station and ride the train up and down the line, back to your station.
